About Me

Hi, I'm Mike Carlin.

I live in suburban Philly with my lovely wife Rose. We have 4 great kids: Michael, Jason, Matthew and Lindsay. Michael is married to Amanda. Jason is married to Dana, and they've reproduced. We have 2 grandsons, Killian and Finn. They're cute. Lindsay is engaged to Eric.

And everybody's doing just fine.

I'm the drummer/percussionist/vocalist with "Rick & MC". Me and my buddy Rick Toure are making noise in smoky bars, yard parties, weddings, ice cream festivals, and anywhere that'll have us. We're a 2-man rock and roll extravaganza!

I also play drums with "Spankin Stanley", a rock and roll cover band. We used to play the bars in NE Philly, but now we just play for fun at various parties. Along with my brother Dave Carlin, and friends Steve Frasch and Rich Cluelow, we rock hard, and we're legends in our own minds.

Over the years I've played the drums with a host of other illustrious bands, namely: Renegade, The Cobra Jets, Teddy/Murray/MC Project, The Deckheds, Disco Fresh Fish, Head Injury Club, Bomb Squad and MCP. Quite a resume, huh?

I'm also the proud founder of "Team Sniff Me", a ridiculous group of bike riders who share my fascination with plastering "Sniff Me" stickers on anything and everything, chuckling at Beavis and Butthead, busting on other people's moms, and furthering the proliferation of potty humor in our stupid society.

I've been a bald guy since May of 2003. Let it shine baby!!

Mostly, I'm proud of having a solid marriage with my high-school sweetheart Rosie, and of being a good Dad and a good Pop-Pop (...awww shucks...).

I've always seemed to be in the center of bunch of goofy shit. This blog'll capture it all.
